After finishing with a 144 four over par in stroke play. Reed earned a spot in the quarterfinals with a drawn-out 23-hole victory over Brandon Detweiler in the third round…also beat Brady Exber (4 and 3 in the second round) and Dan Woltman (19 holes in the first round.) Patrick was then defeated 3 and 2 by the eventual winner Danny Lee(number one ranked amateur) in the semi-finals.
What outstanding play from Patrick Reed in only his second US Amateur showing. Great going Patrick!
