Lott was joined by her mother, Noel Lott, head golf coach Holly Randow and assistant coach Gretchen Balhoff, as well as a large gathering of friends and teammates. Principal Linda Fryoux Harvison was also in attendance. WBRZ-Channel 2 and WAFB-Channel 9 covered the signing ceremony.

"I feel extremely blessed to be able to sign with the University of Kentucky," Lott said. "I feel like Kentucky is the place I need to be. My future coach, Coach Myra Blackwelder, is such a warm-hearted, caring and smart person, and I can't wait to be on her team. I have a feeling that she will have a major impact on my golfing career."

Lott is a three-year letter winner on the SJA golf team heading into her senior season. She was the LHSAA girls state champion as a sophomore and state runner-up as a junior. She was a key member of the SJA golf teams which won state titles in 2007 and 2008.

"Heather has been a great asset for the SJA golf team," Randow said. "She is not only an outstanding golfer, but she is an outstanding person and great leader. I am very proud and excited for her to continue her golf career at the University of Kentucky."
